Merta City is Situated in Nagaur - the central district of incredible state Rajasthan. Merta City is a municipality.Popularly known as ‘Meera Nagri’ Merta City is a religious hub of Hindus. Its PINCODE is 341510. The unique attraction of Merta City is Meera Bai temple which is also known as Charbhujanath temple.Merta City is also known for its famous ‘Baldev Pashu Mela’.

It was established by Rao Duda, fourth son of Marwad ruler Rao Jodha.Rao Duda was succeded by Rao Veeramdev, Jaimals brother. Merta & Mewar were the only Rajput states which denied of making any type of matrimonial relations with Mughals. Jaimal was then Senapati (commander) of Mewar who fought against Akbar. In 1562 it was conquered by Mughal rular Akbar.

Best time to visit Merta City :- Feb to Apr & then Oct to Dec months are apt for visiting Merta City. In summer there are too much hot climate that’s why summer should be avoided.
